What makes a good anime?
for me i guess its quality and depth
Quality as in the outlook , basically its graphics and external stuff.
Hmm , good quality is hi def anime with awesome surround sound .
we need to remake evangelion and gundam00 with that lols
Graphics and sound quality are the two most important part in Quality for the anime .
But if studio logistics cant make up for these two , Depth comes into place .

Depth you ask?
well , its about the story and details of the anime .
Got good quality , no depth , no point >.>
a good anime is one that sticks with the story throughout the span of the anime , leaving little fillers as breaks , too much fanservice will too ruin the experience .
Story depth is what most people look forward too , anime too boring people wont watch , moe blob anime like k-on!! are overrated , but if content is good , then it will make up for the loss in story .(im not cursing k-on!! or anything , its really really good) . Final Fantasy 7 has a really really good storyline , it sticks to the story throughout the entire span of the game . ff7 not an anime ? they made an OAV so its considered an anime .

Good animes to recommend , or examples of good anime you ask?
firstly we have Evangelion , anime that started japan into realizing that anime was worthwhile , started the animeboom .
then we have many others that follow up , i recommend...
Toradora , Shakugan no Shana , To aru Majutsu no index , To aru kagaku no railgun ,
Bakemonogatari , Gundam00 , Gundam Wing , Zero no Tsukaima , Suzumiya haruhi no yuutsu ,DNAngel , many others uh , but these are the few i really recommend .
